Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following a crash on the A35 near Tower Cross.

A woman in her 50s is in critical condition following the two-vehicle crash, which happened at 1.24pm on Friday, July 27.

The woman was a passenger in the Toyota Yaris that collided with a Vauxhall van.

Police believe the driver of a grey Mini Cooper S may have information which will aid the investigation. The Mini is thought to have been travelling behind the Toyota prior to the collision.

The A35 was closed in both directions as a result of the collision, with diversions put in place at the scene.

Anyone with information and anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police by emailing 101@dc.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting log 466 of Friday, July 27.
