Police respond to complaints about anti-social driving.

Honiton’s neighbourhood policing team will be tackling ‘boy racers’ in the town.

Police have received a number of complaints regarding antisocial driving in the Sidmouth Road and Battishorne Way areas, including the Tesco car park, with reports of screeching tyres, aggressive revving and drifting around roundabouts.

A police spokesman said: “This behaviour seems to have increased with the warm weather and has been reported as occurring late at night and in the early hours of the morning.

“The neighbourhood team will be taking positive action to combat this issue over the next few weeks including use of regular patrols, unmarked cars and regular speed checks in the area.”

Anybody who witnesses incidents of antisocial driving are urged to report it to police on 101.
