The results are in and a new police and crime commissioner for Devon and Cornwall has been elected.

Conservative candidate Tony Hogg will now take up the post after winning Thursday’s election.

The police and crime commissioners will replace police authorities currently responsible for forces across England and Wales.

They will set priorities for policing and oversee budgets.
