It is good news for Kilmington residents as the Post Office will restore the village’s services once a week after the previous branch closed.

A new outreach service will be held in the Baptist Church in Whitford Road once a week from Tuesday, March 13.

The postmaster from the nearby Colyton branch will open between 10am and noon every Tuesday morning.

The village’s old branch in Whitford Road temporarily shut in October 2017 due to the resignation of the postmaster but closed completely when the premises were withdrawn for post office use.

Matt Walls, Post Office network operations manager, said: “I know that the local community will join me in welcoming this good news and hope that customers will continue to use the branch.”
