Axminster Primary School children swap uniforms for PJs to celebrate World Book Day
mha axmin world book day 1YOUNGSTERS at Axminster Community Primary School swapped their uniforms for pyjamas to enjoy a little “bedtime” reading yesterday (Thursday).
They were amongst thousands of pupils across the country taking part in World Book Day events.
They took along their best-loved stories – and cuddly toys – to read extracts to their classmates.
They were also asked to write and draw details of their favourite book, with prizes for the best entries.
The school canteen put on a tasty Roald Dahl menu, which included Magic Fingers and Witches Sticks, Fantastic Mr Fox, Enormous Crocodiles and George’s Marvellous Medicine.
