Racing team on the right track

Honiton Community College students attract new sponsors to help them compete in the F1 in Schools competition.
A FI racing team from Honiton Community College is on the right track, having attracted support and further funding.
Team Dynamica, comprising students Cameron Boland, team manager, Nick Long, design engineer, Lloyd Batten, resources manager, and Ellis Kennedy-Holland, manufacturing engineer, will be competing in the regional finals of the F1 in Schools competition in February.
Following a presentation to Martin Taylor, of Goodridge Fluid Transfer Systems Limited, the company has agreed to help with both funding and the development of the car.
Team Dynamica are currently sponsored by Westward Paper Sales, The Consortium, Everys solicitors, TelesisEagle, Goodridge and ProServe.
The aim of the competition is to design a car based on the Bloodhound SSC, measuring approximately 20cm in length, which will be raced down a 20m long track. .
The team is looking to raise more money to cover the costs of travelling to the competition, the manufacture of the car and materials such as paint and decal stickers to display sponsor details.
As part of the project, the students will also be assessed on their marketing strategy.
