Remembrance events in Honiton

13:17 06 November 2012

The Honiton branch of the Royal British Legion to host special event in the town to mark the occasion.

All are welcome to join members of the Honiton branch of the Royal British Legion (RBL) to remember the town’s fallen heroes.

The branch will be holding a number of events to mark Remembrance.

A free Remembrance Festival is being held today (Wednesday) at St Paul’s Church from 7.30pm, which includes a band concert followed by refreshments.

This will be followed by a coffee morning on Saturday, November 10, starting at 9.30pm, in the Mackarness Hall.

The events will culminate in a vigil at the war memorial outside St Paul’s Church at 11am on Remembrance Sunday (November 11).

There will be a parade starting in New Street followed by a 3pm service at St Paul’s Church.

Collections will be held for the RBL’s Poppy Appeal during these events - supporters are urged to give generously.
