More than 100 see the bent propeller trophy presented at Lyme Regis lifeboat’s annual dinner
When it comes to presenting prestigious awards Lyme Regis RNLI chiefs know how to push the boat out.
A battered old bent propeller was amongst the trophies handed out at the annual dinner on Friday
More than 100 volunteer crew members, wives, partners and guests let their hair down during a fun evening at the town’s golf club.
Music was provided by local band DT7, a magician performed tricks and there were some not-too-serious awards.
The much-prized Bent Propeller Trophy was ‘won’ by helmsman Elliott Herbert. John Bird received a photograph of himself in action as he left the lifeboat in advance of retirement as a sea-going crew member later this year and Jon Broome was presented with a long-service certificate.
