Residents and holidaymakers give a big thumbs up to this summer’s events run by the district council’s countryside team

East Devon residents and holidaymakers have given a huge thumbs up to this summer’s events run by the district council’s countryside team.

Of those who responded to questionnaires following, 98 per cent rated them as very good or fairly good, and 99 per cent said they were very good value for money or the right price.

Councillor Tom Wright, EDDC environment spokesman said: “We are fortunate to have a range of activities on offer throughout the year in East Devon.

“The survey results demonstrate the quality and broad appeal of the events delivered by the countryside team and the value to local people in terms of health and wellbeing.”

During the summer, the team ran 66 events and worked with other local organisations including the Donkey Sanctuary and Seaton Jurassic to get people outside and enjoying the benefits of the East Devon Countryside.

The events included bug hunts at Seaton Wetlands and rockpool rambles as well as outdoor Tai Chi and yoga.
