Malcolm and Dorothy celebrate their dimaond wedding with friends and family
A party for family and friends was the highlight of Malcolm and Dorothy Biss’ diamond wedding day at Seaton yesterday (Thursday)
The couple celebrated their 60 years of marriage at Netherhayes Residential Care Home were Mrs Biss has been a resident since May.
They were joined by their daughters Jillian Biss, who travelled from Portugal, and Judith Simpson, of Axmouth, along with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Malcolm, 82, a retired management consultant, and Dorothy, 84, who worked as a PA with the BOAC airline, were married in Salisbury.
After they retired they spent some time living in Portugal with their daughter Jillian, before returning to the Seaton area when Mrs Biss’ health began to fail.
Mrs Simpson said her parents had a great day and she praised the staff at Netherhayes for their “wonderful care and support”.
