Three inches of snow in Honiton. A35 closed both ways from Kings Road due to snow and stricken lorry.

A band of heavy snow is sweeping across East Devon.

Strong winds have created blizzard conditions in places.

Honiton has been particularly badly affected, with reports of up to three inches of snow on some estates.

The A35 is closed in both directions from Kings Road. Updates to follow.

Some schools are closed. List to follow.

It is currently snowing in Lyme Regis, but excellent efforts by the town council have ensured all roads in the resort and snow-free.
