St Paul’s Church in Honiton is hoping to share the message of peace and reconciliation with the community.
To mark the 100th anniversary of Great Britain entering World War One, a number of interactive prayer stations have been set up around the church, including prayer candles, peace and reconciliation zips and people we miss buttons.
The Reverend Prebendary Sue Roberts said: “We want to encourage more people to pop in. Anyone is welcome to use them.”
These will be in place until the civic service at the church on Sunday (August 17), which starts at 3pm.
For the next four years a red peace and reconciliation candle will be kept alight until 2018.
The special candle was lit during a well-attended service last week, which mirrored the service held at Westminster Abbey.
