A climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower and a cruise along the River Seine were amongst the highlights of a trip to Paris for Woodroffe School students.

The group of 79 Year 7 youngsters and eight teachers enjoyed an action packed stay in the French capital, including visits to the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre and Parc Astérix.

One of the key factors of the trip was to use some of the French language skills the students had acquired over the year and prizes were awarded to those who made the most of this experience.

Trip leader Kathy Elliott said: “Clara Douglas, one of the prize winners, said that it was the best trip she had ever been on.”
