Supper and song by candlelight for new day hospice

All are invited to join in an evening of ‘Supper by Candlelight’ to raise money for the new East Devon Day Hospice in Honiton.

The event takes place on Saturday, June 21. From 6pm, champagne and canapés can be enjoyed at St Paul’s Church.

There will be performances by Jan Sutcliffe and members of Nostalgia Incorporated together with maestro Trevor Bolshaw.

A four-course supper and wine will follow at the Mackarness Hall, and diners are asked to dress in their best evening wear to join in the occasion which will take place by candlelight.

The money raised from the event will go towards building and running the new hospice for patients and families in the East Devon area. The project has been set up by local charity Hospiscare, which provides specialist care to those with terminal illnesses. Based in Exeter, it cares for around 700 patients at any one time.

As part of the East Devon Day Hospice Appeal, Hospiscare needs to raise £250,000 to complete and run the state-of-the-art facility in King Street. More than £50,000 has already been raised.
