Honiton and District Lions Club joined forces with a local business to come to the aid of a resident and their young child.

The charity were contacted by a children’s occupational therapist to assist a Honiton resident and their young child by purchasing a special car seat.

It purchased the seat for the family and worked with Devon Pram Centre, who fitted and instructed the family on its use.

Tom Boucher, the welfare chairman for the club , said: “This was one of those requests that had to be acted on very fast, and it was, thanks to all concerned.”

On being given the news that the club had agreed to purchase the seat, the occupational therapist and family were said to be over the moon and that it would make such a difference to their lives and that of the child.
