Grub Club to be hosted in the town.

A Michelin-trained chef will be celebrating local and seasonal produce as he hosts the very first Honiton Grub Club.

The Grub Club is being set by Josh McDonald-Johnson, the founder of Pickle Shack, who will be serving up a tasty feast for diners on Friday, July 25, at the Mackarness Hall.

The Mayor of Honiton, Cllr Peter Halse, and his wife Anne, will be joining fellow diners to enjoy a three course meal.

“Here in Devon we are exceptionally lucky to have top-quality produce so readily available and it is really important that events like this are held to support the rural economy. Plus it’s a pleasure to cook with such excellent raw materials,” says Josh.

“The reaction from local people and businesses has been great. There seems to be a real appetite for an alternative dining experience where we can show our support together for the local farmers, fishermen, gardeners and artisan suppliers”
