Ten-day cider festival coming to Honiton pub

Punters in Honiton will be able to enjoy a varied selection of bubbly at cider festival coming to the town next month.

The Southwest Cider Festival will come to The Star Inn, in New Street, from Friday, August 3 to Sunday, August 12. The pub will offer ten different ciders over the ten days, all sourced from producers in the south west.

The ciders, all priced at £2.55 a pint, feature several award-winners, including Harry’s Scrummage, voted Campaign for Real Ale National Champion Cider 2018, as well as Sandford Orchards’ Hangy Downs and Broadoak Cider’s Crimson King. The pub will also serve some ciders with interesting flavours including ginger and raspberry, mango, elderflower gin and tonic and passionfruit. Sophie Plows, manager at The Star Inn, said: “The festival gives customers the opportunity to sample regional ciders and I am certain that people will enjoy our fantastic selection, from the finest producers in the region.”
