Villains thought to have used key stolen earlier to drive away newspaper delivery vehicle from Seaton Junction

Thieves have made headlines after stealing a Midweek Herald delivery van.

The two-year-old white Ford Iveco, valued at around £15,000, was taken from the compound at SAK Logistics, of Seaton Junction, at around 7.50pm on Thursday November 16.

Staff were still working inside the premises when the vehicle was driven away. It is thought the thieves had taken the van key from the premises during an earlier visit.

The vehicle, used to deliver newspapers produced by publishers Archant South West, has several stickers on its side including Midweek Herald and Sidmouth Herald. Anyone with information is asked to call Axminster police on 101.
