Police appeal for information after outboard engines and fuel tanks are stolen
Police are appealing for information about a number of thefts in Axmouth last month, mostly centred on the harbour.
Between September 1 and 5 at least four boats moored on the fisherman’s’ side to the south of the bridge had boat engines and other items stolen.
Police say it is likely the offence occurred overnight Thursday into Friday and that a larger vehicle would have been required to take the property away.
Five outboard engines were stolen along with two fuel tanks and some smaller items.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Seaton police on 101 quoting crime references KN/13/398, 399, 400 and 402.
Officers also want to hear from anyone who can help them catch those responsible for stealing a metal safe from the church in Axmouth. The reference is KN/13/418.
They are also investigating an incident on September 16 when a gold Honda car was broken into at Dowlands Lane and a mobile phone and other items were stolen (KN/13/422).
Seaton Police can also be contacted by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or people can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
