Brownies, Guides and Rainbows from Axminster and Uplyme got together to celebrate thinking day last week.
The girls played games, enjoyed celebration cakes and spent time learning about girl guiding in other countries. Uplyme Brownies treated everyone to a demonstration of line dancing as part of their entertainer’s badge.
During the event, at Uplyme Village Hall, Janet Verplancke was presented with her 30-year long service award by district commissioner Sarah Long.
Mrs Verplancke is currently treasurer for the Axminster division but in the past has run both Brownie and Guides units in the local area.
The gathering also saw Emma Clark make her promise as a leader after taking charge of the 1st Axminster Guides.
