Trio suspected of supplying controlled drugs are bailed pending further enquiries

Police officers investigating the unexplained death of a woman in Axminster have arrested and bailed three people in connection with drugs supply offences.

Police were called to an address in Millwey Avenue on December 5 by the ambulance service.

Ambulance crews had to take a 40-year-old woman to the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital, but staff were unable to resuscitate her and she died later that day.

Police investigating are treating the death as unexplained, but will prepare a file for the coroner in due course.

Following further enquiries on December 11 two people were arrested and on 19 December a third person was arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs.
