A team of thrillseekers from The Co-operative in Honiton will be plunging 15,000 feet to raise money for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT).
Zoe Goodwin, Stacey Quin, Sharon, and Alex Miller, who work in the Lace Walk store, will be taking part in a sponsored tandem skydive on Sunday, June 1, at Dunkeswell Airfield. The jump will see the group travel at 120 mph through the air.
“All the money raised will go directly to the Devon Air Ambulance Trust,” says Zoe, who has previously done a sponsored skydive for the trust. “We are all looking forward to it. Devon Air Ambulance is a really good cause. We just want to raise as much as we can for the charity.”
This will be a first for Stacey, Sharon and Alex, who have not done a skydive before. Stacey added: “I am nervous but excited. I can’t wait.”
A bucket collection is being held at the supermarket on Saturday (May 24). Sponsorship forms are also available in store. DAAT is The Co-operative’s chosen charity of the year.
