HAWKCHURCH Parents and Toddler Group won first prize in the children's section of the Hawkchurch annual village Christmas tree competition last Saturday.The group had spent their weekly sessions designing Christmas tree decorations and accepted the trophy from Rev Rosemary Bragg, of St John the Baptist Church.The competition has been running for more than five years and attracts entries from groups and parishioners from around Hawkchurch and the surrounding parish.More than 20 trees were on display in the church over the festive season and Hawkchurch Ladies' Club clinched first prize in the adult section.group.
