Full timetable on the West of England line from today to be restored(Monday).
South West Trains is planning to restore a full timetable on the West of England line from Today (3 December) following extensive repairs to track damage caused by extreme weather conditions.
Engineers have been working at five separate sites affected by flood damage on the railway line between Yeovil and Exeter.
A full service will resume, and trains will once again call at all stations on the line.
Engineers will continue to carry out work around the line to help to reduce future problems.
Whilst this work takes place, three speed restrictions will remain in place at Broom, Crewkerne and Honiton which will result in slightly extended journey times.
Following severe weather conditions, engineers needed to repair extensive damage caused by flooding between Honiton and Axminster as well as on the embankment at Broom Level Crossing near Axminster. Two sites at Crewkerne and one at Gillingham also require remedial work to be carried out.
