Trapped coast walker helped to safety

Man becomes stranded by landslides on his trek from Charmouth to Seatown.

oastguards from Lyme Regis were called to help a walker who had become stranded on the footpath between Charmouth and Seatown last night (Sunday).

The man knew where he was but could proceed no further due to landslips and path closures so called Dorset Police who contacted Portland Coastguard.

The rescue team reached the man at around 8pm. No medical attention was required.
