Honiton woman Klara Bodfish is to shave her head for charity to show her support for her close friend who has been recently diagnosed with cancer .

A Honiton woman has been inspired to shave her head for charity after her close friend was diagnosed with an incurable cancer.

Klara Bodfish will be shaving her head in aid of FORCE on Saturday (October 13) to coincide with Secondary Breast Cancer Awareness Day.

She decided to get the chop to show her support for her friend Abbey Becow, 41, who was recently diagnosed with secondary breast cancer.

Abbey, who is also from Honiton, is currently receiving chemotherapy treatment.

FORCE cancer charity, which is based in Exeter, provides support to anyone affected by cancer and has helped fund improvements in patient care through research and the purchase of specialist equipment. It also has its own support and information centre located at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.

FORCE, a friends group, has been running for 23 successful years.

So far, Klara has raised more than £400 in sponsorship.
