Police launch investigation.
Police have launched an investigation following the discovery of a body near Lyme Regis.
Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat crew were launched and recovered the body of a woman following reports by the coastguard of a body in the water off Chesil Beach at 6.20pm on September 26.
Police are looking into the circumstances and are trying to identify the woman.
