Village Pre-school children don their wellies for a walk to Cannington Viaduct

Children from Uplyme Pre-school pulled on their wellies and took a walk across muddy fields to Cannington Viaduct.

On the way they looked for signs of Spring - spotting lots of newly born lambs with their mothers as well as primroses, snowdrops and catkins.

At the viaduct the children were fascinated to hear their voices echo under the arches.

The walk marked the final day of this term’s theme - “Where we live”.

As part if this the children have also enjoyed walking to the local post office and stores - to buy a stamp before posting a letter to themselves.

Uplyme Pre-school which celebrated its 50th anniversary, last year, also runs a toddler group during term time on a Tuesday afternoon at the village hall, between 2pm and 3.30pm.

For further details regarding Uplyme Pre-school or Uplyme Toddler Group - please contact Manager Annie Thurgood on 01297 24318.
