Vehicle ‘severely damaged’ after fire

A vehicle was severely damage after a car fire near Honiton.

Firefighters from the town were called to the incident, which happened at 12.10pm today (Friday) on the A35/ A30 Clover Leaf junction.

A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “On arrival at the scene crews confirmed one vehicle well alight and got to work with breathing apparatus and hose reels to extinguish the fire.

“Two breathing apparatus and one hose reel were used to extinguish a fire which severely damaged the engine compartment of the vehicle.”
