Time is running out for residents to vote for their recycling heroes as part of Devon County Council’s annual awards.

There has been 61 nominations in this year’s Recycle Devon Thank You Awards across categories including, Your Recycling Hero, School Recycling Hero and Small Business Champion.

DCC councillor Rodney Cann, chairman of Devon authorities waste reduction and recycling committee, said: “Recycle Devon wants to recognise those who have gone beyond the call of duty or perhaps even come up with new and innovative ways to reduce waste or reuse old items and the awards ceremony will be a thank you to them for the good work that they do.”

Residents have until Monday, February 8, to vote for their winner by visiting

The winners will be announced at an award ceremony at County Hall on Friday, February 12.
