Police swoop in Queen Street after resident spots alleged offender
A wanted man was arrested after a major police operation in Colyton today (Wednesday)
The 56–year-old had been the subject of a county-wide hunt after allegedly leaving a bed and breakfast establishment in Yelverton, in September, without paying his bill
His description and photo were widely publicised and a member of the public reported seeing him in Colyton.
He was arrested early this afternoon in Queen Street, and taken to Exeter police station where he remains awaiting interview.
Witnesses said around six officers were involved in his capture.
