Four men injured - two of them seriously - in the two car collision
Witnesses sought by police
Police are seeking witnesses to a serious collision on the A35 near Kilmington yesterday afternoon (Thursday, August 10] which left four men injured.
Emergency services were called at 2pm following the collision between a blue VW Passat and a red Chevrolet Corvette.
The Corvette driver, a 57-year-old man from Wellington, and a male passenger both sustained serious injuries and were airlifted to hospital where they remain in a stable condition.
The Passat driver, a 63-year-old man from Swanage, and a male passenger sustained less serious injuries and were taken by ambulance to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
Local units as well as officers from the Roads Policing Team and Serious Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene.
The road was closed for six hours while officers carried out a forensic examination of the scene.
