Woman freed from upturned car

Axminster and Honiton firefighters called to accident on The Old Taunton Road.

Firefighters from Axminster and Honiton were called to free a woman trapped in a crashed car, near Shute, on Friday afternoon (August 8).

The victim, whose vehicle had rolled over, was released by the crews using hydraulic cutting equipment and small tools and left in the care of the ambulance service.

The accident happened on The Old Taunton Road at around 4.30pm. The extent of the woman’s injuries has not been made public.
