Fire crews free driver trapped in her vehicle at Weycroft Bridge, Axminster

A woman was rescued from her car after it got stuck in floodwater at Axminster today (Thursday).

Firefighters from Axminster and Colyton, along with the specialist rescue team from Exeter, attended the scene on the A358 at Weycroft Bridge,

Crew members wearing dry suits used wading poles to remove one woman from her vehicle and then moved the car to higher ground.
