Axe Valley Community College students get to see The Reds in Champions’ League action

A group of young sports fans travelled from Axminster to see Manchester United play Romanian champions Cluj in an exciting Champion’s League match.

Last week’s outing to Old Trafford involved 45 Axe Valley Community College students from various year groups.

PE Teacher Dave Owen who organised the trip said: “The students were very well behaved and clearly really enjoyed the trip, despite the very cold weather and the very long coach journey. The students arrived back in Axminster at 3.35am.”

Luke Feldman, a year 7 student, said: “It was an amazing experience going to Old Trafford and seeing Rooney play. Although Manchester United lost 1-0, I really enjoyed the game. Without this opportunity provided by college, I would never have been able to go. I will remember this experience for a very, very long time.”
