Axe Valley primary school children take part in gymnastics festival at Colyton Grammar School
More than 100 pupils from Axe Valley primary schools took part in a gymnastics festival’ at Colyton.
The event was led by sports co-ordinator, Anne Harris, and her team of sixth form sports leaders at the town’s grammar school.
Children from Colyton, Beer and Seaton spent the day in the sports hall working on activities to develop their core gymnastic skills, like stretching and balancing.
Mrs Harris said: “The aim is to have fun and develop basic skills – it also gives teachers the opportunity to learn how these skills can be developed back at their own schools.”
The children who took part in the festival will have a chance to show how their skills have improved when they are invited back to Colyton after the holidays for a gymnastic celebration.
