Sunday morning saw a three-ball Waltz Stableford at Honiton Golf Club and 16 teams took part.

With one score on the first, two scores on the second and all three on the third repeating throughout….so who had their waltzing shoes on?

It was the team of Paul Stewart, Ed Reece and David Carnall who put their best feet forward to finish with 74 Stableford points, in second place with a 72 were Peter Clarke, Shelia Palmer and Brian Morrison, beating on countback and finishing third Mark Kingdon, Andy Phillips and Trevor Anning.

Tuesday’s Mixed competition had 32 players taking part. The format was a 14-Hole Fun Pairs Better-ball. Whilst most of the holes only required one score from the pair, holes 6 and 12 required both scores to count.

The winners, Joan Crook and Mick Swann, had an astonishing score of 44 points, helped by a score of 9 points on hole 12 when they both holed out in 2.

The remaining prizes were all decided on countback on a score of 36 points. Second place went to Caroline Bond and John Craig, third place to Georgie and Roger Edwards and fourth place to Linda and Steve Blundell.
