Axe Cliff Ladies entertained a team from Bridport Golf Club and won the match 4.5 vs 1.5. The Ladies from Bridport were very complimentary about the Course and especially about the homemade tea and cakes provided in the clubhouse.
The Seniors have been busy lately, winning an inter club match, at home against a strong team from Honiton 4.5 vs 1.5, but lost their away Emerton Court Match at Exeter Golf & Country Club.
Stuart Mackie retained his Knockout Cup in a close final and the first round of the Masters Trophy saw Nigel Pritchard lead the way with a nett 69.
In the June Men’s Medal, Brad Burston took top spot in Division 1 with a nett 72, while Simon Sweetland won Division 2 with a superb nett 66, beating Andy Trivett and Andy Gabb on countback. Mike Chawick won the Mashers Roll Up with an amazing 42 points.
