After a sumptuous meal, chairman Garry Perratt and assistants gave out the awards that were greeted by cheers and even singing!

The committee had difficulty in choosing just one person for a few categories, so awards were duplicated to accommodate this.

The male runner of the year was Matt Clist while Amy Greenhalgh and Margaret Pearce shared the female runner category.

One of the most prestigious awards is the Club Person honour which was won by Richard Hale, who has organised many of the AVR runs.

The chairman’s Shield went to Dave Thomas for volunteering to organise next years Grizzly while the President’s Shield went to Graham Newton for his incredible marathon performances.

The Most Improved M awards were handed to Alan Morbey and John Claydon and the Most Improved Female awards went to Diane Newton and Jess Tubbs.

The Founder’s Trophy went to Janet Woodward and Jess Tubbs while Alex Todd was deemed the most Unfortunate Soul!

The Team award went to the Three Peaks Challenge gang of 11 organised by that maestro Richard Hale. Rupert Pady won the New Member award. The 2013 Handicap winner was Alan Morbey with 150 points, just three points ahead of second placed James Guler, with Tim Sibley third with 136 points.

Many thanks to Debbie and Mike Barry for organising the event superbly.
