Braving the windy conditions and having to go out before the seniors on Wednesday, a good contingent of ladies battled their Daily Mail Foursomes, writes Dave Bruce.

It proved another close competition, but lady captain Caroline Bond and the in-form Stella Thompson fought the hardest, winning with an impressive 38 points.

Hot on their heels and taking second place were the pairing of Sandra Walker and Anne Jarvis on 36 points.

Caroline and Stella will now represent the club in the first round of the National Competition in the new year. Good luck, girls.
