The first game against Broadclyst saw them continue the previous week’s good work despite being on the wrong end of a 6-0 score line. All the players should be pleased with their performance against a skilful side.

Will Whitworth once again caught the eye, showing great tenacity and effort throughout, and who, along with Shane White in defence, was the team’s stand out player.

Next up were Ottery and an excellent all round performance saw Honiton register their third win of the season.

Honiton started with purpose and following several good passing moves took the lead when Matthew Ward struck with a fine left foot shot.

They continued to have the lion’s share of possession and doubled their lead before half time through Becky Rose’s close range strike after a corner wasn’t cleared.

The second half saw a similar story with Honiton again dominating and they grabbed a deserved third goal when Caleb Freemantle despatched Laura-Beth Outram’s super pass with a shot high into the net.

Dan Loosemore and Matthew Beviss also earned praise for their defensive work.

This coming weekend sees Honiton play their final league matches against Brixington’s Blues and United.
