Boys take Devon badminton title

Colyton Grammar School students from the U19 boys’ and U14 and U16 girls’ badminton teams took part in the Centre Parks national school competition recently, writes Nicole Thackray.

All three of the teams won their East Devon rounds which led them through to the county round on Tuesday, February 12 at Paignton Community College.

The boys succeeded and became the Devon Schools Badminton champions 2013.

Both girls’ teams finished runners up.

Teacher and coach, Anne Harris said:“I am delighted that all three of the teams made it through to the finals. It was a massive achievement that the U19 boys won.”
