Calvin surfs for Great Britain

Local surfer and Circle One team rider Sam Cavin has been selected for the Great Britain surfing squad.

The 15-year-old has been surfing for ten years now.

He regularly competes in the British Longboard Union surfing competitions and, for the past two years, has represented Devon in the European Atlantic Watersports Games.

He is sponsored by Circle One surfboards who are a local Devon company which have given him great support over the last year.

As part of the Great Britain squad Cavin is attending three training camps where all aspects of his surfing ability, fitness and tactics are examined and tested.

He has recently completed one camp and is looking forward to the remaining ones which are being held at Fistral beach in Newquay.
