Seaton 7, Honiton 3
Seaton Under-15s powered to success in this well-contested East Devon derby, writes Andrew Franklin.
The Seaton team showed just how much they have missed playing football and came back from the soggy break with a commanding performance.
Seaton struck four first half goals to take charge.
The back line of Brandon Curl, Cam Gould, Jamie Tait and Max Richardson provided a solid base for the team to work from and this gave Honiton very little room to work in.
Honiton did find a way back into the contest with a couple of goals, but the Seaton supremacy was soon restored and they went on to net three more of their own to end empathic winners.
Lewis Cottam led the Seaton scoring with a hat-trick and there were braces from Tony Pinder and Ollie Binion.
Jacob Rowe, Pete Smith and Connor Cox put in superb shifts in the Seaton midfield.
Lewis Cottam was named the Seaton Man of the Match.
The two teams meet again this weekend with Honiton hosting the contest.
