The club have recruited some new faces for the season. South African Luke Petersen, a seam bowling all-rounder spent the past few months playing cricket in his native country with James Burke. His arrival strengthens the seam bowling attack and also the top five 5 batting berths. Another new face is that of Exeter University student off-spinning all-rounder Robert Craze. Rob recently took 4-20 against Devon 1st XI including scalps of captain Josh Bess, Sandy Allen, Matt Thompson and Matt Kidd. He will also occupy the top of the batting positions in the 1st XI and Lloyd Loman, has switched allegiance from Exmouth to keep wicket.

The new trio complement the earlier arrival of Ben Phillips who has recently retired from First Class cricket, playing for Kent, Northamptonshire, Somerset and Nottinghamshire. Bens brief is to help the clubs development, and deliver programmes to improve the fitness, disciplines and skills of the clubs cricket establishments at all levels. The Phillips appointment runs from May 1, through until August 31. However, such is his enthusiasm he has started early with regular attendance at the indoor net sessions. Phillips has also been registered to play for the club in the Devon Cricket League.
