Feniton are now 20 points from C Division East safety after they suffered a three wicket defeat at Exeter II.

However, the visit to the County Ground proved to be a good one for teenage all-rounder Jack Tucker, who scored 85 and Alex Frankpitt, who hit 62. With their side batting first and wobbling at 64-5 the pair came together and added 143 for the sixth wicket!

It was sadly all in vain as the Feniton total of 221-8 was passed by the home side with three wickets and four balls to spare. Jon Pyle (2-32) and Jon French (2-39) were the most successful of the Feniton bowlers.

Better news for the Feniton 2nds though as they top H Division East after an eight wicket win at home to Axminster II.

On Saturday (July 28), Feniton 1st XI host high-flying Kilmington while the 2nd XI have no league fixture.
