Feniton were beaten by five wickets on their visit to Sidmouth III for their final C Division East game of the season.

The loss means that Feniton have finished in a bottom three position and will line up next season in D Division East.

Feniton, knowing that only a victory against a side that had won every one of their home games this season would keep them up, batted first and closed on 228-5.

Graham Tucker (55) and fellow opener Mark Salter (30) gave their side a half century start.

John Buckland (28no) and skipper Jon Pyle (51) added 80 for the unbroken sixth wicket.

Sidmouth found their wicket just as comfortable to bat on and they too got a half century start which became the foundation for a five wicket win, sealed with five overs and two balls to spare. First change Matthew Davies finished with 3-21 from nine overs.
