With a new cricket season on its way there’s an opportunity for East Devon players and clubs to become involved in the last Man Standing (LMS) concept.

This format of the game is on a similar scale to the popular T20. It involves 8-a-side teams playing 20 overs of five ball cricket at organised LMS days.

There is currently room for two more teams to complete the league in Mid Devon and the area organiser is keen to break into East Devon so the possibility is there for a more local league to also be established.

The LMS match days sees teams all play two games at a set venue. The cost per team to enter then league is £80, and that entry fee includes the team shirts which are of various colours.

The winners of each league head into an area and then county finals day competition.

There are currently three venues in the KLMS Mid Devon circuit. Ashbrittle, Cullompton and Bradninch, but the organisers are keen to look at having a venue in the east of the county.

Anyone wanting to know more about the Devon LMS is asked to contact Lee on 07766 073751 or 01823 7674337.
