Sidmouth CC introducing more girls to cricket through Tuesday afternoon coaching sessions

Sidmouth Cricket Club is making great strides in their bid to introduce more girls to cricket.

The Fortfield outfit are sending coaching staff into Sidmouth College on a weekly basis.

The ladies cricket sessions are held at the College each Tuesday late afternoon starting at the end of the school, day and running through until 5.15pm.

The first session was last Tuesday and was extremely well attended with 15 girls attending!

The sessions are open to girls of any age and ability; what’s more it’s free! Nick Mansfield leads the Sidmouth CC coaching staff at the session and they’d be delighted to see as many girls as possible get along to see if the sport is for them!

The club would like to thank sports teacher Ross Gillon and also teacher Hazel Goodyear for their input and drive to this all taking place.
