Francis Clark LLP and Somerset County Cricket Club (SCCC) have signed a two year partnership agreement which sees the award winning chartered accountants become an ‘Official Business Partner’ to the LV County Championship Division One side.

Francis Clark will benefit from high visibility branding at the County Ground, use of the club’s conference facilities, player appearances, client hospitality days and a range of related marketing and branding opportunities.

Taunton based Francis Clark Partner, Nick Farrant said: “We are delighted to become both ‘Official Business Partner’ and ‘Official Accountancy Partner’ to the club and to be associated with one of the highest profile sporting brands in the South West.

“SCCC has all the qualities we admire and advocate – expertise, professionalism, teamwork, and ambition and we are greatly looking forward to supporting the club throughout the coming season.”

Guy Lavender, Chief Executive of the LV County Championship Division 1 side, added: “I am delighted that Francis Clark has chosen to join us as our ‘Accountancy Partner’. They are an excellent regional firm with whom we have established a great working relationship over the years. I am confident that this new partnership will allow us to build on the business success of both Francis Clark and Somerset County Cricket Club over the next two years”.

SCCC finished sixth in the County Championship last season, topped Table C in the Royal London One Day Cup before losing in the semi-final and narrowly missed out on reaching the finals day of the Friends Life T20 Blast competition. For 2014 the Club has embarked on a fundraising campaign and an Appeal to help realise its ambition of building the new Somerset Pavilion and to bring International cricket to Taunton.

Francis Clark is the largest independent firm of chartered accountants, tax advisers and business consultants based entirely in the South West of England. It has 49 partners and more than 390 staff at offices in Exeter, Plymouth, Salisbury, Taunton, Tavistock, Torquay and Truro.
